Job Title: Accounting & Tax Unit Manager

Job Function: Accounting & Tax

Report to: Corporate Management Team Director

Job Purpose

Supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Responsible for any federal and state tax compliance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, i.e., accounts payable, tax credit compliance, etc.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Coordinate and complete audits (quarterly), as well as monthly closings
  • Prepare tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules
  • Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues
  • Maintain legislative material by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws
  • Maintain compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities
  • Manage and facilitate federal and state tax audits:preparing responses, creating schedules
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects

Core Competencies

  • Must be computer literate, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Requires working with some supervision
  • Reuires a thorough understanding of industry practices, the organizations needs and general business conditions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Bachelors degree relevant to Accounting and Finance preferred
  • At least 7 to 10 years experience in an accounting or tax department
  • CPA preferred
  • Bilingual (Korean, English) preferred
  • General knowledge of accounting in corporate environment
