Job Purpose

Develops the overall plans and programs for product and brand training. Assists in the development of training materials for new and existing products and understands markets in order to effectively contribute to the achievement of the organization's business and marketing objectives.

 

The individual should have significant sales and training experience to understand this product and its markets, as well as training in planning and market research techniques.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops business and training plans for assigned products/brands, sales & marketing plans, and implementation strategies.
  • Leads training field sales, customer service personnel, and customers on brand/product introductions or enhancements, as well as new marketing/sales campaigns.
  • Participates in and evaluates market research and analysis, promotions, public relations, and advertising associated with assigned brands or products; assesses their success against plan.
  • Works closely with sales, engineering and manufacturing functions on design, distribution, and product specifications as needed.
  • Works as a liaison with departments to ensure the effective operation and production of new/revised products.
  • Negotiates with other internal departments, in order to agree new product opportunities or developments within set time-scales and budgets.
  • Visit customers and/or travel with Territory Managers and Regional Directors.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree required
  • At least 5 years of tire industry experience, preferably in training, sales, and/or marketing
